Les 1 ou 3 premières lettres symbolisent la nature de l'élastomère
NR = Naturel
CR = Chloroprene
NBR = Nitrile Butadiene
IIR = Isobutylene Propylene
FPM = Fluorocarones
CSM = Polyerhylene Chlorosulfone
SIL = Silicone

Le nombre est la dureté en Shore :
40 = Souple
60 = dureté standard
90 = Très dure

La lettre indique la couleur du profil :
N=Noir
B=Blanc
G=Gris
M= Marron
R= Rouge
V= Vert

Exemples : NR70N = Naturel 70ShA Noir /// CR80B = Neoprène 80ShA Blanc
